When working with the youth, we are focusing on their independence, as they are soon to become adults and will take on important roles in society. We value open minds, self-expression, but also a spirit of community among the teens. Very often young people can close themselves and isolate from their peers, we are encouraging part taking in community and team activities. We were proud to hear, when we were working with a Foroige group, that the adult leaders have never seen, everybody in the group would participate in the activity and smile. Inclusion and tolerance is an obvious choice for us when we think about the future for the next generations. We are offering drumming sessions (drum circle and rhythm playshop), mandala making workshop, learning Sasa dance, which is a lot of fun and very spectacular to do in a team. We will be very happy to help young people to create their own space, by designing and creating their own murals. We are also introducing the philosophy and critical thinking classes to the young people of Ireland. We have started just before the government introduced the philosophy in a form of short course in the new Junior Cycle. In March 2017 St Louis Community School had a chance to present their project on Ethics of Climate Change to the Minister for Climate Change during a conference organised by Green-Schools.
Relaxation with the sound and elements of mindfulness will be a great opportunity to calm down from the stressful school environment. Pow Wow jamming can be a lot of fun, learning love songs from the Turtle Island. So far we have been working with Comhairle na nÓg (Co. na Gaillimhe), Youth Work Ireland, Scouts, Foroige, different Youth clubs around Co. Mayo and Galway, but also with Secondary Schools. For the last 3 years with St. Columba's College, Dublin at their Positive Mental Health Week, we've done a drumming playshop and a sound bath. We have also volunteered with Positive Mental Health in Galway. Our mandala became a centrepiece for the very first Youth Fair in Roscommon organised by Roscommon County Council.
We can provide once off sessions or a programme for a few weeks introducing different themes or learning something a bit deeper and creating a show together. Tell us what your group needs and we will surely come up with something suitable.
We have a Garda Vetting for our business, but we can fill out a form for your organisation. Tax Clearance on request.
